HOW WE ACHIEVE EDGE-TO-EDGE WATER REPELLENCY:

But no product reaches its final version without going through a process. In this article, we share the complete journey: from the selection of materials to the final construction of the garment.
It all starts with finding the right fabric. The objective was clear: to achieve a water-repellent material with an intermediate weight and a matte finish that maintains consistency with the collection's aesthetic.
After multiple tests, we chose a polyamide with a polyurethane coating. This type of fabric, widely used in technical outdoor and snow apparel, incorporates a treatment that enhances its waterproofing, achieving a resistance of up to 8,000 mm water column.
The water column is the parameter that defines the waterproofness of a material: it measures the pressure the fabric can withstand before allowing water to pass through. In this case, the result ensures reliable protection against variable weather conditions.
Furthermore, this polyamide stands out for its high abrasion and tear resistance, two fundamental qualities for a garment designed for intensive use.
With the raw material defined, we moved on to a key stage: manufacturing. For this, we worked with one of our trusted workshops, specialized in technical clothing and uniforms for firefighters and air forces.
During this process, a seam-sealing machine was used. This technology allows a tape to be adhered over each joint, completely sealing it. The result is a significant improvement in water repellency, as it prevents micro-perforations created by the needle from becoming points of filtration.
Every decision, every test, and every adjustment are part of the same objective: to develop a garment that meets the real demands of the environment, without sacrificing identity.
